Kuldeep Rungta along with Anna Amrute used to cheat people by pretending to double their investment amount in one and half years.
The Varanasi unit of UP-STF and MBVV Police in a joint operation on Friday arrested a fraudster from Maidagin, Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He used to cheat in Bhayandar East on the pretext of doubling the investment amount in one and half years. Police identified him as Kuldeep Rungta(28). Interestingly, Navghar police also arrested 9 people from Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, for abducting Kuldeep Rungta.
Rungta is a resident of the Indralok Area of New Golden Nest, Bhayandar East. According to the Additional SP of Varanasi unit of UP-STF Vinod Kumar Singh, they handed over the accused Kuldeep Rungta to MBVV Police and they have taken him to Bhayandar on transit remand. However, Rungta’s father Pramodkumar Rungta (67) claimed that his son was kidnapped. He registered a case against the unknown in Navghar Police Station on Wednesday
Case registered against Duo in Navghar police station
Kuldeep Rajan and his friend had opened a fake proprietor company in Bhayander.
Accused Kuldeep said in his statement that he and Anna Gopal Amrute had jointly opened AS Security Company, AG Security Company and KK Security Company in Mira Bhayander, in the year 2018. From the local investors, they used to deposit Rs. 50 thousand onwards and used to invest the amount in the shares market. Through the company, they used to cheat people on the pretext of doubling the money in one and half years. Navghar Police has registered a case against them.
After which he had run away from here. When the MBVV police got information that Kuldeep is hiding in Varanasi, they sought help from UP-STF. Both police formed a joined team to arrest Kuldeep Rungta. With the help of surveillance and informers, his location was traced to Maidagin. Police arrested him on Friday.
“We used to deposit the money deposited by the customers in our Demat account and trade with it in the stock market. More than two thousand people had deposited crores of rupees in our companies,” said the accused in the statement.
About 10 days ago, Anna Gopal Amrute sold the office and house of his three companies and ran away. After Amrute’s escape, Rungta also quietly went to Varanasi and was hiding there.
Shocking Action from Navghar Police
Interestingly, Navghar police arrested 9 people from Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, for kidnapping Kuldeep Rungta on his father Pramodkumar Rungta’s complaint. In his complaint, he said that some unknown person has abducted his son from his residential building.
Immediately, Navghar Police arrested nine kidnappers after proper investigation and rescued the abducted youth safely, according to some reports. Reports also suggest that Milind Desai, senior police inspector of Navghar police station, had ordered the police to search for the abductors and registered the case under section 363 of IPC. According to the police, after investigating, Kuldeep was safely released from the clutches of abductors and they arrested nine people.
