Police exposed sex racket on WhatsApp

Mira Bhayandar – Vasai Virar (MBVV) Police have exposed a sex racket operating through the social messaging site WhatsApp within the limits of Kashimira Police Station. Police have arrested the accused on the basis of tip-off from the khabri. Police have registered a case against three persons and rescued three women involved in prostitution. Kashimira police are investigating the incident.

Police have arrested Kuleshwar Kumar Dhyan Gupta (42, resident of Rawal Pada, Dahisar) and Bablu. Informing further about the case, police said that the accused send photos of the young girls to the customers through WhatsApp. After the deal gets finalized, they sent the girls to a lodge for prostitution. Following a tip-off, a police team led by Inspector Raviraj Kurade and Assistant Inspector Pushparaj Surve of Crime Branch unit 1 set a trap.

On Friday, police contacted a man via WhatsApp through a decoy customer. The person had sent photos of eight young women. As soon as the deal got finalized for the two young women, the accused asked the decoy customer to send some advance money online. After the payment, the accused messaged that he is sending the said women to Suryaprakash Lodge in Kashimira. They booked two adjacent rooms in the lodge then brought three young women near the lodge in a rickshaw.

The rickshaw driver and a woman waited in a auto outside the lodge. Meanwhile, the accused named Bablu entered the lodge with two young women. Police arrested accused Bablu after he accepted the balanced money from a decoy customer. After the raid, police picked up rickshaw driver Kuleshwar Kumar from outside the lodge. Police have rescued all the three girls from their clutches. This is not the first time that MBVV police has busted sex racket running on WhatsApp.

Mastermind still at large

However, the mastermind of the flesh trade racket is still at large. Police have registered a case under section 370 of the IPC and relevant sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). Court has granted the police custody to the duo. However, police are investigating the incident further.
