Bhayandar Police has registered a case against Ex-BJP MLA Narendra Mehta and his friends. Police accused him of illegally grabbing of the land of others.
Former BJP MLA Narendra Mehta has come with about forty other people to take the ‘kabza’ on the land owned by one builder Shyamsunder Agarwal at Todi Wadi in Bhayandar West. They uprooted and carried the signboard with them. Narendra Mehta and his ‘goons’ abused the security guard on duty and assaulted him. They even, threaten to kill me and demolished the security guard cabin,” Agarwal said in his complaint.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against Ex-BJP MLA Narendra Mehta, former corporator and standing committee chairman Prashant Keluskar, Mehta’s close confidante Sanjay Tharthare and 35-40 others on Tuesday night. Bhayander police are conducting further investigation.
“The land, at Old Survey No. 655 and New Survey N0 239, hissa number 1, 2 and 3, Survey No 653, Hissa No 2 and Survey No 657, was the earlier agreement to Mr Salasar Balaji Realty LLP and Seven-Eleven Construction Pvt Ltd in September 2018. However, even after two years, the said parties have not paid the amount to me. I deployed the security guard and notice them on termination of the agreement. Mehta came here with his ‘goons’ and assaulted and abused my security supervisor Pankaj Tripathi. They threatened to kill me,” said Shyamsunder Radheshyam Agarwal.
Based on a complaint, cases were registered under various relevant sections of IPC including 447 (criminal trespass), 188, 269, 270, 271. They also booked in under Section 504 and 506 of IPC. Police charged them under sections 135 and 37 of the Maharashtra Police Act along with the Epidemic Disease Act. Further investigation is on.
