A 28-year-old costume designer allegedly commits suicide at his home in Mira Road on Monday Night. Recovered suicide note says he was fed up of life and none to blame for his drastic step.
Shah Rukh Salim Khan was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his ninth-floor apartment in a Mira Road Shiv Prerna Society’s E-1 wings in New MHADA Complex, a high-rise building, said Pankaj Ghatkar, Assistant Police Inspector, Kashimira Police Station.
“A suicide note was recovered from the scene, in which the deceased had stated that he was fed up with life and no one should be held responsible for his death,” the official said.
Khan worked as a costume designer at various film studios in Mumbai and his mother lived in a different apartment in the same building. “Both the flats own by the family and prima facie the financial condition of the family seems good. However, mother and son lived in different flats, seems that they might have some differentiation, he said.
A case of accidental death has been registered in the case and further probe was underway, he added.
Meanwhile, various industries are still closed due to the ongoing pandemic. As a result, most of the people are facing hardship to run the house. They have not been able to earn any income from the last four months. That is why such incidents have increased during the lockdown.
