Flesh trade is spreading rapidly in the twin city as many sex rackets have been exposed one after the another. Navghar police have taken major action once again in the city on Thursday. A sex racket allegedly being operated through social media messenger WhatsApp was busted by police posing as a customer. The flesh trade was being operated from the house.
Investigations revealed that the female pimp used to communicate with their potential clients through WhatsApp application where it was more convenient to send photographs of girls they had to offer and strike deals.
Police said that a sex racket has been busted in Navghar Road area of Bhayandar East. The woman pimp(32) has been caught while the girl was rescued from her clutch. Cops got a tip-off that a woman is operating sex racket in a flat at Navghar Road.
Navghar Police and Anti-Human Trafficking Unit(AHTU) of Thane Rural Police along with subordinates laid a trap on Thursday, a decoy customer was sent to deal with the woman pimp.
The accused firstly sent pictures of girls via WhatsApp. After the rest of procedure, when dummy customer arrived at the scene and gave the signal to cops, the flat was raided The accused was booked under sections 3, 4, 5, 5 (1) (d) (ii) and 7 of Prevention of Immoral Traffic Act (PITA).
This is not the first time that sex racket operating thru WhatsApp has been busted. Police are further investigating the matter.
