15 Bangladesh nationals held for living illegally by Naya Nagar Police

Police have arrested 15 Bangladesh nationals living in the country illegally from Mira Road and a case has been registered at the Naya Nagar Police Station.

Assistant Police Inspector Devidas Handore was informed that Bangladeshi nationals were living illegally near the Rassaz Shopping Center at Mira Road and under the skywalk near the railway station.

Handore, under the guidance of Kailash Barve, Senior Police Inspector, Naya Nagar Police Station set a trap at both the places and arrested 15 Bangladeshis. Police asked them for their valid documents. However, they failed to produce it. The accused include men and women. Police have arrested two minors also those were staying beneath a skywalk near the railway station. They have been held under the Passports Act and Foreigners Act, he said.

These Bangladesh nationals used to work as labourers in Mira Road.

A team of Kadam, Chaskar, Patil, Aswale, Dhemre, Yambar, Chavan and Shinde along with Assistant Inspector of Police Devidas Handore of the Unethical Human Trafficking Prevention Branch have set a trap.
