Mira Bhayandar has seems to be on a recovery path. On Monday, MBMC jurisdiction has recorded only 20 persons testing positive for the Coronavirus infection, which is a positive sign. From the last five days, no COVID-19 related death has been reported while active cases also dropped to 555.
With the addition of the 20 new positive cases on Monday, the cumulative positive cases in the twin city have inclined to 23,393. However, 22,094 infected persons have recovered with a recovery rate of 94.44 per cent for the first time. 60 persons were discharged after recovery from hospitals and COVID Care Centres. For the past few days, MBMC has been reporting more recoveries than infected cases.
Mira Road reported 10 new cases on Bhai-Dooj day, while Bhayandar East and West registered five new cases each.
The number of active cases in the twin city is 555. This happened for the first time since June 11. No new COVID-19 related death case was reported in the last five days. However, the total number of death due to COVID-19 has reached to 744.
On Monday, 10 were new patients while the other 10 were contacts of people who had tested positive earlier.
The MBMC has so far sent a total of 1,11,805 swab samples for testing of which 88,203 have turned negative while reports on 209 samples are still awaited.
From the last 17 days, the list of COVID-19 positive patients has not crossed the double-digit. This is a good sign that Mira Bhayandar is on the recovery path.
Peak Time
The highest numbers of COVID-19 related death reported were 11 on 15th August. While the highest number of positive patients reported were 327 cases on July 31. Peak active patients were 1987 positives on October 01. However, declination of positive patients and active patients started from here only.
