Questioning on the water shortage and people’s struggling Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s (MNS) Palghar and Thane Chief Avinash Jadhav asked Mira Bhayandar Municipal Commissioner that from where these tanker mafias get water when people are struggling to get water in their taps?
Taking a serious note on the water scarcity, Jadhav requested Dr Vijay Rathod to pay immediate attention to this. On Wednesday, Avinash Jadhav along with other MNS leaders met the commissioner regarding various problems in the city. Avinash Jadhav said, “There was health and positive discussion with the commissioner on unauthorized constructions come up during lockdown, water shortages, measures taken on COVID-19 control, installing CCTV cameras in the twin city and potholes on roads.”
“As the issues are in the public interest, the MBMC chief has taken note of the points raised by me. He promised to resolve the pending issues ASAP,” added MNS Chief of Thane and Palghar.
Crime is on the rise in Mira Bhayandar. The city needed the installation of CCTV cameras on every square and isolated places to control the crime. He said, “MNS will provide 25 CCTV cameras in the first phase of the installation.”
“Unauthorized slum construction has come up in many parts of the twin city. Therefore, in the future, it will create a problem for the administration along with citizens. However, when these unauthorized works were under construction, where were the ward officers, administration?” He posed a question.
All the political leaders are making their benefit out of water shortage. “Some MLD of water increased during the election time. After some time they brought down the water supply. However, in reality, water comes to the tap in the city after 70 hours, said MNS chief Avinash Jadhav.
“Commissioner has assured us that water issue will be resolved soon. However, we will expose the tanker mafias in the next eight days,” said Avinash Jadhav. MNS leader and president of 145 – Assembly seat Sandeep Rane was also present with the Jadhav.
