What leaders say

According to Sena MLA from Ovala-Majiwada Pratap Sarnaik, the four-time corporator was extremely active during the viral outbreak in Mira Bhayandar. He was helping the needy in the area.

“We did not stay at home for a single day to provide relief and help to the people in distress. Among the hundreds of Shiv Sainiks who are working as ‘Corona Warriors’ in Ovala Majiwada, Mira Bhayandar Assembly, Amgaonkar was constantly ahead. He never refuses any work. Coronavirus took this activist away from us. He was strongly believed in motto ‘party first’. Time has given us a big jolt.”

Amgaonkar’s status can be judge by the message written by Shiv Sena president and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on his death.

“Amgaonkar rose from the ranks and was loved by everyone, the chief minister said, recalling that he used to organise Malvani Jatra (fair) every year. Whenever he see Shiv Sena paid a visit in the fair, he took then to taste the special dishes out there.”
