As the Mira Bhayandar has been upgraded from Rural Policing to the Commissionerate, the josh in the police personnel has also been elevated to the next level. Mira Road Police raided the premises and arrested three drug peddlers with 2.20 kilograms of the charas worth Rs. 8,47,800 in Mira Road.

A team led by Sandip Kadam, Sr.PI, Mira Road and API Devidas Handore laid a trap near Riddhi Siddhi Hospital and caught the suspects. On checking the bags, the police team recovered the drug consignment from their possession.
Immediately, police have arrested the trio. Police booked them under the relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Police have arrested Nadeem Abdul Rahim Chougle (27), Dawood Maqbool Ansari (25) and Arshad Salauddin Khan (26).
The value of the seized charas in Mira Road worth Rs 8.47 lakh in the international market. Police not ruled out the involvement of the trio in an interstate drug-peddling racket. Police are trying to ascertain the source and destination of the consignment to break the chain.
