Unlock 1.0 in Mira Bhayandar: Jogging, shops, cloth stores allow; Religious places, schools, gathering not allowed

The Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation MBMC on Friday unveiled it’s Unlock 1.0 plans. It allows something with terms while not allowed gathering at some places.

On Friday, in a detailed release of five pages advisory under Mission Begin Again of State Government and Unlock 1.0 of Central Government, MBMC had revealed out its plans for the phased unlocking of the restrictions earlier imposed. The present ‘unlock 1.0 plan’ will be in operation till June 30. Mira Bhayandar was under strict lockdown since April 19.

Phase I—Mission Begin Again starts on Saturday (June 6)

Exercise and Jogging will be allowed from 5 am to 7 pm at Private gardens, housing societies, public places. However, citizens have been advised to perform exercises near their residence. However, Gyms will remain shut to prevent large gathering inside.

Phase II (Effective from Saturday)

Shops will be allowed to open between 9 am and 5 pm. No shopping malls will open

Cloth stores have been allowed but they can’t use the trial rooms. Shops have been selling the apparel on no exchange no return policy. Social distancing has to be maintained at all stores, while owners have been asked to encourage home-delivery and issue tokens to customers for restricted entry.

People have been advised to use bicycles to commute to avoid congestion on roads.

Phase (III)–Commencing on June 8 (Monday)

Private companies can function with 10 per cent of the workforce, or 10 employees (whichever is more). However, encourage employees to work from home. Employees travelling should keep themselves sanitised for the safety of their and family members too.

Autorickshaws will be allowed to ply in an emergency with a maximum of 1+2 passengers. Four-wheelers allowed on the road(including OLA, UBER, Taxi and private cars) with a maximum capacity of 1+2 passengers. However, only one person is allowed on two-wheelers. Travelling can be undertaken only for essential purposes. Intra-district travel permitted with 50 per cent occupancy in buses. Inter-district travel allowed only within the MMR region by following the above-mentioned occupancy.

All shops remain open between 9 am and 5 pm.

Schools, colleges, training and coaching centres will remain close till further notice or guidelines issued by the authority.

International air travel, metro travel not allowed.

Gyms, theatres, auditoriums, bars, swimming pools and other places of entertainment and recreation will remain closed.

Big celebrations, political/ religious/ cultural programmes not allowed.

Shopping malls will remain closed while dining in restaurants has been prohibited.

All workers/employees will have to download the Aarogya Setu app on their phones to get an indication of the positive cases.
