Three new COVID-19 positive cases reported in Mira-Bhayandar, 15 recovered on Monday

The number of Coronavirus infected cases in Mira-Bhayandar continued to witness a gradual decrease in the last one week as three new cases were reported on Monday while 15 COVID-19 patients recovered, according to the data released by the officials of the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation(MBMC). However, the official data released by the corporation also suggests that the doubling rate of the infection has also decreased gradually. With this, the corporation has certified the mibhatimes.com’s report that investigated the doubling rate.   

The figure in the last 2-3 days advises that the total lockdown in the twin city is working. The total lockdown first imposed on April 20 to April 23 and then extended till April 28.

There is a huge sigh of relief for both administration as well as the citizens is that, while the number of corona victims is increasing in the state; in Mira-Bhayandar, 15 patients have become coronavirus free. All of them were discharged from the hospital on Monday evening. Meanwhile, 41 corona patients have been recovered so far here.

Out of 15, a one and half year old toddler also defeated the coronavirus.  Five senior citizens also overcome from the COVID-19.

With three new coronavirus infected, the number of COVID-19 patients tally reached 145. While two positive patients died, there are 102 active cases in Mira-Bhayandar. Out of three positives, two are newly discovered while one is closed contact of an old positive patient. The positive cases on Monday included a 26-year-old male from Queen’s Park area of Mira Road, a 44-year-old female from BP Road area in Bhayandar (East) and a 70-year-old man from Pali Road in Uttan area of Bhayandar(West).

Coronavirus update

With 13 persons have been identified and quarantine on Monday, a total number of quarantined reached to 1504. However, there are still 1121 people under the observation of the administration.

Out of total 813 swabs sent for investigation, 145 are positive, 649 results are negative whereas 19 reports are still awaited. Two patients died due to COVID-19 and 41 patients are recovered in the area. There are 102 active coronavirus cases in Mira-Bhayandar.
