COVID-19 positive tally rose to 22255 in Mira Bhayandar on Tuesday with 129 more people testing positive while two more infected people died rose the death toll to 701, the daily health bulletin published by the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) showed.

However, 1124 active cases are still there, which shows recovery rates have been improved. The overall recovery rate has further improved to 91.79 per cent.
However, despite a better recovery, the case fatality rate (CFR) continues to hover above 3.14 per cent. This remains a serious cause of concern for the civic administration. The death toll had mounted to 701 till Tuesday night.
Moreover, Mira Road had a maximum of 104 cases followed by 16 cases in Bhayandar East. Bhayandar (West) has reported 09 positive cases on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, 98 out of the 129 patients who tested positive on Tuesday had no-linked. However, 31 were contact cases of those who had earlier tested positive for Covid-19.
The MBMC has so far sent a total of 99068 swab samples for testing of which 76,055 have turned negative while reports on 752 samples are still awaited.
